What your day to day will look like:

  • Assemble and update Health and Safety binders for the region including; training, compliance, safety performance and inspection reports and hazard assessments.
  • Distribute safety communications and collect sign offs for all locations in the region.
  • Complete site visits weekly to conduct inspections of Scandinavian equipment and janitorial rooms at the regional offices and warehouses. Developing appropriate corrective or preventative actions to improve compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Support the Health and Safety Director with internal and external audit requirements including safety recognitions and certifications.
  • Work with the Health and Safety Director to ensure certification standards are consistently met.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • This is an entry level role we’re happy to train the right candidate.
  • Must have a post secondary education or completed courses in Health and Safety or similar field.
  • Must own a reliable vehicle travel within region is expected for site visits once a week with 1 overnight travel every 5-6 weeks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with different personalities and build strong long lasting relationships with clients.
  • Top notch communication skills; this role will be communicating Health and Safety processes, procedures, policies and training to a variety of departments in the organization and to various client groups.
